Nuts for Apples Cookies

This recipe saves calories by substituting equal parts cooking oil with Mott's applesauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mott’s® Unsweetened Applesauce Apple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, lightly toasted
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine sugar, applesauce, peanut butter, and egg in large bowl. Mix until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Spoon dough by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Bake 15 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Allow to cool slightly before removing cookies to cool completely.

Makes: about 2 dozen cookies.
