- 1 cup Mott’s® Applesauce Apple
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp allspice, ground
- 1½ tsp cracked black pepper

1 tsp cinnamon, ground
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs, large
- 1 cup buttermilk

- Preheat griddle.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, allspice, pepper, cinnamon, and sugar together in a medium bowl.
- In another medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, buttermilk, and applesauce.
- Combine applesauce mixture and flour mixture.
- Pour batter in ½-cup portions onto griddle.
- Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip to cook the other side until golden brown.
- Serve hot with warm maple syrup.
Makes: about 16 pancakes.
